CoolNicknames is an independent English website for finding, styling and copying nicknames. It gives you curated nickname ideas for friends, partners, gamers and moods, plus a generator that turns any name into decorated Unicode styles you can paste into games and apps with one tap.

What CoolNicknames does
Most people who search for a nickname want three things quickly: a few good ideas, a version that looks special, and a way to copy it without typing symbols by hand. CoolNicknames is built around those three jobs:
- Nickname ideas grouped by who or what the name is for, each with a short note on the vibe it gives.
- A name generator that rewrites any Latin name in more than 150 styles (bold, script, small caps, symbol frames and more). It runs on the page you are reading; there is no app to install and nothing to download.
- One-tap copy on every item, so the exact characters land in your clipboard.
The site is for gamers, social media users and anyone who wants a name that stands out in a chat, a profile or a game lobby.
Who runs CoolNicknames
CoolNicknames is written and maintained by the CoolNicknames Editorial Team. We publish under the team name rather than individual bylines. We do not show made-up author names, photos or credentials, and we are not affiliated with any game studio, app or social network.
Game and platform names that appear on the site (for example Free Fire, PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Roblox, Discord and TikTok) are trademarks of their respective owners. CoolNicknames is an independent fan resource and is not endorsed by, sponsored by or connected with any of them.
How we create and check content
- Start from what people really search for. We look at the questions readers ask about nicknames and build one page per use (friends, gamers, relationships, a specific game) instead of repeating the same list everywhere.
- Write our own lists. Every list on CoolNicknames is put together by our team. We do not copy lists from other websites.
- Keep the characters exact. Decorative symbols, kaomoji and emoji are copied byte for byte. We do not “clean up” characters that look unusual, because many of them display correctly on phones and social apps.
- Test before we claim. When a page says a style works in a particular game or app, we say when it was checked. Limits and filters change with updates, so we date those notes and revisit them.
- Filter out harmful names. We remove names that are vulgar, hateful, impersonate real people or target a religion, caste or community.
Where the symbols and data come from
- Unicode characters. The styled letters and symbols are standard Unicode characters, defined by the Unicode Consortium. That is why they paste as plain text without a special font.
- Our symbol library. The kaomoji, emoji combinations and decorative frames come from a symbol library maintained for the site, which our team curates before anything is shown.
- Community nicknames. Visitors can add their own nickname for a name inside the generator. These additions are filtered for banned words, and copy and like counts on the site are real counts, never invented numbers.
- Official sources. For rules such as name length or allowed characters, we point to the official help pages of the game or app where they exist.
When the site started
The current version of CoolNicknames, with the new generator and design, went live in September 2026. We add lists and guides step by step and update existing pages when games or apps change their name rules.
